Essex County Council want to hear from anyone living with a disability, their families and carers, people who work to support people with disabilities as part of their job. Ultimately all residents of the county can feed into the process.
Alongside their partners and care providers, Essex County Council have been talking to people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and sensory impairment across Essex to understand what is most important to them and where we need to focus our work to remove the barriers that stop people from living the life they choose.
ECC’s Disability Strategy consultation was launched this week and can be accessed on the Essex County Council Disability Strategy consultation page.
The consultation runs until Thursday 23 February 2023.

The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex (PFCC), Roger Hirst, is seeking your views on paying for policing and fire rescue services in Essex, as he sets the 2023/2024 budgets for the Services.
Funding for Essex Police comes from two sources, central government funding and local council tax, while funding for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service (ECFRS) comes from central government, local council tax and business rates. Essex residents are being urged to have their say on how much they would be prepared to spend and which areas of policing and crime they would like to see further investment in.
