Canewdon is a large village set between Ashingdon, Paglesham and Stambridge.
The village boasts a public house, one village shop, two churches, two duck ponds, a large village green and a primary school. There is also a recreation ground with a large play area, basketball court and skateboard ramp, cricket and football pitch. We also have a large village hall.
The Parish Council meets the first Wednesday of the month (excluding August) at 7.15pm in the Village Hall. The agenda, associated paperwork and minutes of the meetings are available to view on this website.
Photo ID Required for voting in May 2023 Elections
All residents will be required to provide photo ID before being issued a ballot paper in polling stations at UK Parliamentary elections, local council elections and referendums in England and police and crime commissioner elections in England and Wales. This will also apply to a proxy voter, someone voting in person on someone’s behalf.

• Completing a paper application with a colour photo enclosed by post sent to your Local Electoral Services Department.

The deadline to apply for a VAC is Tuesday 25th April 2023.
